GHMC Officials Arrested For Changing Property Ownership 

Hyderabad: Two contract GHMC officials were arrested on Monday for changing the name of a property owner fraudulently. The accused - B. Polaiah and M. Lakhan Singh - worked as data entry operators. The central crime station officials said that the accused had nexus with the fraudsters and colluded with them to execute the plan.

A property at Gourishanker Colony, Road 11, Banjara Hills was purchased by the complainant in 2015, and the same year the it was registered on his name and changes were also made in the municipal records too. However, the accused executed their plan with Centre for Good Governance (CGG) protocol address.

"They employees earn Rs12,000 to Rs15,000 on each mutation. This is one such incident that came to light and we suspect that there might be more such illegal deeds being operated," said an official.
