Vizag Girl Dies In Tadepally After Lover Refuses To Marry

Guntur: A 17-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances on a railway track near Tadepally in Guntur district on Monday.

According to police, Mounika Sailaja(17), was pursuing intermediate second year in Vishakapatnam. She was in a relationship with Mukteshwara Rao, a resident of Tadepally for sometime. On Saturday, Mounika's parents came to know about her relationship and they warned her to stay away from the boy.

Mounika who was deeply in love with Mukteshwar went to his home and asked him to marry her. But the boy's parents, who were not interested in the marriage dropped the girl near her home and went away.

Meanwhile, Mounika's parents lodged a missing complaint with the police. But police did not register the case and suspected that the girl was near Mukteshwar, they called him up and asked to hand over the girl to her parents. The girl's parents who kept on searching for her since Sunday were unable to find her. Later they again lodged a complaint with Tadepally police.

Police on investigation found the girl died near Buckingham canal on a railway track and informed parents. They sent the body for postmortem.
