GHMC crackdown on illegal buildings, serves 3869 notices

Hyderabad: Following the fire accident that burnt down the entire 5-storey building filled with plastic products to ashes at Sitarambagh on Sunday, GHMC has issued notice to 3,869 buildings in the city which do not have any fire prevention equipment.

As a part of long-term action plan, the GHMC officials have come up with a proposal making mandatory for all the buildings with a plinth area of less than 200 metres to have all the required clearances including NOC from the fire department.
