Farmer Attempts Suicide In Front Of KCR’s Camp Office

Hyderabad: A farmer attempted suicide in front of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's Camp Office here on Tuesday.

According to the police, the victim has been identified as Mallesh, a native of Gadwal town in Jogulamba Gadwal district. He came to Hyderabad to meet Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and pour out his woes. Mallesh was caught in a debt trap after his four borewells failed.

However, Mallesh was denied entry to the camp office. Angered over this, Mallesh whipped out a pesticide bottle from his bag and consumed it. Security personnel who noticed Mallesh consuming the poison, rushed him to Gandhi hospital where he was declared out of danger.

Farmer Dies in FCI centre

In a separate incident, a farmer Akula Pochaiah died under mysterious circumstances at Food Corporation of India centre at Janagama village in Domakonda mandal of Kamareddy district on Tuesday morning. Pochaiah came to the FCI centre to sell his produce of paddy. The traders and farmers at the centre said that he might have suffered heart attack in the morning hours. A case has been registered under mysterious death and investigation is on.
