Telugu Student Killed In Road Mishap In US

Illinois: A 23-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh was killed in a road accident at Illinois in US.

The victim was identified as Sai Kumar Adluru from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. The mishap took place on early Sunday morning when the victim's car was hit by another car from the rear killing Sai Kumar on the spot. Sai kumar was pursuing Masters in electrical engineering at Northern Illinois University.

According to the Indian Students Association, Sai Kumar was a native of Sri Bomma Rajapuram, near Puttoor, Tirupathi. He was supposed to graduate in December 2017. "Sai and a friend were involved in an accident near the university earlier this morning and the other vehicle involved was the one at fault. Sai was not lucky enough to make it. The other person in his car is currently undergoing treatment in a trauma center in Rockford," the Association said.

Expressing grief over the incident, Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister N. Amaranatha Reddy told reporters that the AP government in collaboration with the Center was making arrangements to bring the body here at the earliest.

The parents Chandrasekhar Raju and Suhasini said Saikumar, the eldest of their two sons, had told them that he was going to complete his course in three months and visit them immediately after.
