Family gets beaten by footwear, commits suicide

Entire family in Tarnaka committed suicide after one of their family members was assaulted with a footwear in Tarnaka on Friday.

Praveen Kumar (33), his wife Swathi (29), their daughters Varshita (5) and Krupa (3) were residing at Santhi Nagar in Tarnaka. Praveen worked as a program producer at an electronic channel and was working as a consultant in an ad agency, while Swathi was working as a tailor in her house. 

Praveen’s aunt Anasuya and his sister Nagalata are residing at ground floor of the same building. As per the reports, Swathi had a heated argument with Anasuya and Nagalata about three days ago. When the elders there were trying to settle the matter, Anasuya beat Swathi with a footwear.

Unable to bear the insult, Praveen's entire family committed the suicide.

Praveen’s daughter Varshita and his brother Sujith Kumar’s daughter used to go to school daily. When Varshita did not come to school on Thursday, Sujith Kumar went to Praveen's room and found all of them dead. Sujith Kumar immediately notified the police. 

Lalaguda police sent the bodies for the post mortem and are investigating the case.
