Uri Breaks Baahubali Record, Continues Dream Run At Box Office
Being termed as the first hit of the year, Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike is still making huge collections even after a month of its release. So far, the movie has earned more than Rs 230 crores and raked in Rs 11.50 crore in the sixth week.
According to Box Office India, the movie beat an time box office collection recorded for week six for blockbusters such as Baahubali - The Conclusion which earned Rs 5.38 crore, Padmaavat - Rs 3.96 crore and Dangal - Rs 1.63 crore.
Week-wise collection details of Uri: The Surgical Strike -
Week One - Rs 71.26 crore
Week Two - Rs 62.77 crore
Week Three - Rs 37.02 crore
Week Four - Rs 29.34 crore
Week Five - Rs 18.74 crore
Week Six - Rs 11.58 crore
Total - Rs 230.71 crore
In the recent releases, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy which released last week has made it to the Rs 100 crore club.
The movie is based on the Indian Army’s surgical strikes on Pakistan Administered Kashmir as a retaliation for the Uri attack in 2016 in which 19 army personnel were killed.
Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Uri also features Yami Gautam Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina, Rajit Kaput and Kriti Kulhari in vital roles.
