Don't stop farmers from going to their lands, HC tells AP Govt
The Hyderabad High Court on Monday admitted the petition challenging the land-pooling system adopted for acquiring land for construction of capital city for Andhra Pradesh.
The Court directed the State Government to file counter within three weeks. It is also made it clear that farmers should not be prevented from entering into their fields.
On Friday, the high Court sought to know the stand of the Andhra Pradesh government on the issue and posted the matter to Monday. More than 30 small and marginal farmers from Tadepalli mandal filed the petition and P. Sudhakar Reddy is arguing on behalf of the petitioners.
