Techie Kills Auto Driver’s Mother Suspecting Links With Wife

Bengaluru: Suspecting extra-marital affair, a man stabbed a family of three after which one of them died. The incident took place on Saturday at Kothanur, Bengaluru.

The deceased was identified as Savithramma (47), she succumbed on her way to the hospital due to severe injury on her chest. During the attack, her husband Sannappa and son Bharath have also sustained injuries. They are undergoing the treatment at a private hospital, their condition is said to be out of danger.

According to the police, the accused Anand, is a business analyst at an IT company in Whitefield. He lives with his wife Sneha and their daughter. Bharath is an auto driver who was staying close to Anand's house. Sneha would often take Bharath's auto to commute, it is learned.

The couple had several fights over the issue in the past. On Saturday night, Sneha called Bharath and his parents to her house to make it clear to Anand about the misunderstanding.

When they came, the argument went out of control and in a fit of rage, Anand stabbed Savithramma with a knife on her chest. He also attacked Bharath and Sannappa when they intervened.

Immediately, Sneha alerted neighbours who rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the hospital but Savithramma died on the way.

The Kothanur police learned of the matter and chased Anand who tried to flee. He was arrested and a case was filed against him under murder and attempt to murder charges.
