Man Hacks Mother-in-law To Death Over Family Dispute

Hyderabad: A 65-year-old-woman was allegedly killed by her son-in-law four days ago. The incident took place on Tuesday at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. According to the police, the deceased Mallamma, is a resident of Vikarabad who came to her daughter's house on October 25th to solve a family dispute. Her daughter Bachamma and her husband, Venkataiah live in Brahma Shankar Colony of Jubilee Hills.

When Bachamma went for work, Venkataiah started hitting her daughter Mounika for an unknown reason. Meanwhile, Mallamma came to her rescue and objected to his behaviour. An enraged Venkataiah attacked his mother-in-law with a sickle which resulted in severe head injuries.

Immediately, the locals learned of the matter and shifted her to a private hospital where she died while undergoing treatment. The Jubilee Hills police who had earlier filed a (attempt to murder) case under section 307 of IPC altered it to 302 (murder) and started probing the matter. The accused is on the run.
