Congress core committee meeting effects felt in Andhra

Students of Andhra University in Vizag staged a protest at the entrance gate of the university demanding that the the Congress High Command keep the state united. They burnt the effigies of the core committee members.

Meanwhile, the bandh called by the Students' Joint Action Committee (JAC) was peaceful in several parts of Andhra region. Private schools and colleges declared holiday today. Scores of students took to the streets and conducted rallies.

Supporting Samaikyandhra, Chittoor MLA CK Babu conducted a bike rally in the town. Bandh effect was partial in Visakapatnam.
