Fake Mobile Recharge Offer: AP Govt Warns of Hoax

A viral post on social media claims that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is offering a free mobile recharge worth Rs. 749 for three months. However, the Andhra Pradesh government has confirmed that this claim is false.

The official fact-checking handle of the Andhra Pradesh government on platform X labeled the post as fake and warned the public not to click on any links associated with it. Further investigation revealed that the link provided in the viral post led to a deleted blog with no connection to official service providers.

Authorities have also issued a warning about potential scams. The police cautioned that clicking on such links could lead to unauthorized access to users' bank accounts and other personal information.

The Andhra Pradesh government urges citizens to be cautious and avoid engaging with misleading content circulating online. Anyone encountering similar posts is advised to report them to the authorities to prevent further spread of such hoaxes.
