Chandrababu Claiming Credit For YSR’s Achievements: YS Jagan
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday inspected the Pydipalem Reservoir in YSR district. The project, envisaged to irrigate 41000 acres of farmland in Kadapa district, has initiated by late YSR and 80 per cent of the works were completed during his regime.
YS Jagan said though YSR had completed most of the works, Chandrababu Naidu was claiming credit for it. He said if only the present Government spent another Rs 300 crore, the Rayalaseema region would have got irrigation facility. He said Chandrababu's claims of development was mere propaganda.
He said the corruption in Purushottapatnam project was so blatant that even a constable could have prepared a report. He said had the government paid Rs 120 crore towards compensation to Pulichintala oustees, the AP could have stored 45 TMC of water. YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of starving irrigation projects in Kadapa district of funds and leaving farmers in the lurch.
YS Jagan will reach Madanapalle in Chittoor district on Saturday evening to bless Karishma Desai, daughter of Madanapalle MLA Dr Desai Tippa Reddy and Lakshmikanth Reddy, who will enter the wedlock. He would travel by road via Kadiri, Nallacheruvu, Tanapalle and Mulakala Cheruvu.
