Bhattiprolu School Girl Kidnapped By Auto Driver Suspected To Be In Delhi

Police released the picture of Likhita’s kidnapper auto driver Sriram Nageshwar Rao - Sakshi Post

Guntur: Parents and family of Likitha, a 13-year-old girl who was kidnapped from her school at Ailapuram near her native Bhattiprolu in Guntur district, are worried a lot as the police could not trace the whereabouts of the girl even 10 days after the incident took place.

The class 8 girl was reportedly taken away by her auto driver Sriram Nageshwar Rao who is absconding ever since. Her parents lodged a complaint with the police on April 21 night after searching in the area.

The 50-year-old Nageshwar Rao had served in BSF as a jawan but he was reportedly removed from service on charges of misconduct.

The girl was traveling in Nageshwar Rao's auto for one year as the school is four kilometers away from home. As there is no English medium school nearby, parents sent her to Zilla Parishad High School at Ailapuram school. According to her schoolmates who were traveling in the same auto regularly, the driver Nageshwar Rao would do indecent acts with the girl during the ride. On coming to know about his vulgar behavior, Likhita's parents changed the auto but he continued to meet and talk with the girl.

According to the bits and pieces of information gathered from the school and surrounding areas, the police suspect that Nageshwar Rao must have taken the girl to New Delhi. Five teams are searching for the girl and kidnapper in several places including Delhi.
