BC groups felicitate Vijayamma

The President of the BC welfare association and well-known leader of the backward classes R Krishniah, today welcomed the historic proposal of the YSRCP honorary president, YS Vijayamma to assign 100 assembly seats to representatives from the backward classes. He was speaking at a felicitation function by BC groups held at the Lotus Pond camp office of the YSRCP under his stewardship.

The BC leader pointed out that the YSRCP has a political party envisioned a role for BCs which no other rival party had done so far and further said that political parties should not view this from a narrow political perspective .

He added that BCs across AP were overjoyed with Vijayamma's proposal and recalled the fact that during his tenure the late Chief Minister, YS Rajashekhar Reddy had accorded great prominence to BCs in the domain of the state politics
