Bangalore Building Collapse: Trapped Workers Feared Dead

Bengaluru: In an unfortunate turn of events, an under-construction building in Kasavanahalli near Sarjapur area of Bengaluru collapsed on Thursday. Rescue operations were pressed into service and seven workers have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of one is said to be serious. The rescue team is still working to save those workers feared trapped inside the building.

Mayor Sampath Raju paid a visit to the place of disaster. It is learnt that the building was four-storyed and five year old. The quality of construction is said to be bad. The mayor wasn't aware of the exact number of workers inside. More details awaited.
