Anganwadi women stage a protest at Chandrababu's meet - Sakshi Post

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday faced protests from a group of Angandwadi activists in Kurnool.

He had to face an embarrassing situation during the women empowerment scheme when a group of women openly criticized him for not acting on the poll-time promises.

They alleged that Chandrababu had announced several schemes for them before the elections, but forgot them once the electiosn were over.
The activists also said that they are playing a critical role in helping the impoverished masses, but they are being paid a paltry wages. " The government is neglecting us. They are announcing schemes for DWCRA women and farmers but they are least bothered about Anganwadi workers," they said.
Their vocal criticism created an uproar at the meeting. Later, the police persuaded them to call off the protests.
