Pawan Failed To Keep His Word: CPI
Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan seems to have upset the CPI in a big way. Looks like all is not well between the alliance between the Left parties and the Jana Sena as Pawan's decision to change Vijayawada Lok Sabha candidate in the last minute has invited the wrath of the CPI.
Pawan announced that JSP was fieling Muttamsetti Prasad Babu just before CPI candidate Chalasani Ajay Kumar, son of veteran Communist leader Chalasani Venkatratnam was gearing up to file his nomination from the Lok sabha segment.
Also, the CPI Leaders' absence at both the meetings of Pawan Kalyan in Vijayawada has set tongues wagging in the political circles about their ties having gone sour. Interestingly, Pawan also stated at the meeting that he and the CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna had a disagreement over the issue.
Pawan's unilateral decision has left the CPI disappointed. They are angry that Pawan failed to honour his commitment. A leader from the Left party was quoted by a leading daily as saying|: “Establishing contact with Mr. Pawan Kalyan immediately after the announcement has been not that easy as it used to be."
Another CPI leader that the Jana Sena chief had failed to keep his word despite the fact that th Left hadn't asked too many seats.
