ACB Unearths Crores Worth Disproportionate Assets Of Guntur R&B SE

Guntur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday unearthed crores worth properties and cash with the district R&B Superintendent Engineer KV Raghavendra Rao. On complaints of disproportionate assets, ACB conducted raids on the houses of Rao and his relatives at 11 places in Mangalagiri, Sattenapally and Machilipatnam.

The ACB teams found around Rs32 lakh worth diamond jewellary, documents of ownership of seven acres of lands and house plots besides cash at the house of Raghavendra Rao. As he is the signing authority of payments to contractors, the official is believed to have amassed huge wealth by accepting bribes.

ACB DSP Devanand said the raids are continuing and a final estimate of disproportionate assets can be arrived at by the end of the day.
