A Live Cockroach In The Nose......

In a rarest of rare cases, a cocroach entered into the nose of a woman and stayed there for over 12 hours.

Selvi, 42, of Injambakkam, was brought to the hospital with pain in the nose pain. Two hospitals could not identify the problem and finally it took a third hospital - ENT department at Stanley Medical College Hospital - to realise that there was a cockroach got inside her nose. The cockroach was not only alive, but was also trying to make movements.

The doctors had to work for nearly 12 hours to pull the insect out. They tried to pump water and prod the insect to come out and finally, pulled it out even as Selvi was struggling to breathe.

The doctors said this was rarest of the cases as such a huge insect was never known to have entered into either nose or ear. Small insects, tiny objects usually get into ears and nose.
