A costly swearing-in for Chandrababu
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's swearing-in ceremony is all set to become one of the most expensive swearing-ins in the country. Chandrababu is scheduled to take oath at 7.27 PM on June 8 as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at Nagarjuna Nagar, between Vijayawada and Guntur. Arrangements are in full swing for the ceremony.
As per the preliminary calculations, the expenditure for the ceremony meant to install the CM for cash-starved AP is estimated to at Rs 10 crore.
This cost includes arrangements for VVIPS, transportation, stage decoration, ground arrangements and food, among other things.
As many 10,000 police are likely to be deployed to provide security for Chandrababu.
The TDP chief has already invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally and has also sent letters to Chief Ministers of newly-formed Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Odisha, Punjab.
