4 new super specialty hospitals to come up around Hyderabad
Areas identified for setting up of 1000-bed hospitals each:

Hyderabad: To provide the best medical services to the poor and towards the steps for making Hyderabad as Global City, Telangana government has decided to set up four more new super specialty hospitals around the city in addition to the existing state-run Gandhi Hospital and Osmania Hospitals. In this connection, Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao has passed the directives to set up the four corporate level hospitals with state of the art infrastructure that will be constructed in four different places on the four directions of the Hyderabad.
In a part of Budget Reviews, KCR held a high level review meeting on Telangana Medical & Health Department, in which Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma, Health Ministe Laxma Reddy, Finance Minister Etela Rajendar including higher officials Rajeshwar Tiwari, Ramakrishna Rao Shiva Shankar and Infromation Commissioner Naveen Mittal also participated.
Chief Minister ordered officials to select the areas for the construction of the proposed hospitals in the city. For this prestigious project, Medical & Health Departmet has sought the budget of Rs.8,400 crores in total, dividing into three categories. Rs. 2,440 crore proposed for DMK category, previous budget Rs. 790 crore, for DH category-- Rs. 220 crore, previously Rs.120 crore and Rs. 1462 crore for Family Welfare, previously figured as Rs.1218 crore. M&H Department sought another budget of close to Rs. 4,000 crore funds for other categories.
Telangana Chief Minister also announced that every district will have MRI and CT scanning centres at four places. He said the compulsory service in rural areas for medicos and doctors in government hospitals for a certain period would be continued as in the past but some relaxations are given. The doctors who are working in rural areas will be provisioned to set up their residence in nearby towns or cities and the extra payment will be made for the staying. The regulation of residence in the same area where they work will be relaxed henceforth. CM directed the officials to design the particular time-frame for the doctors who work in Primary Health Centres.
KCR stated the proposed super speciality hospitals with the capacity of 1000 beds with ultra-modern fecilities and state of the art infrastructure that will expand in four sides of Hyderabad. They proposed areas include Sherilingampalli- Rajendra Nagar, Malkajgiri-Cantonment, Kukatpally-Qutbullapaur and Uppal- LB Nagar.

CM also warned officials that zero tolerance will be practiced towards the negligence in services and sought proposals for strengthening of 108 , 104 services. The officials of M & H Department had sought total budget of Rs.8,400 crore, dividing Rs. 5,200 crore as plan-budget and rest is as non-plan budget to which Chief Minster advised them to come once again with better proposals of budget to be earmarked for the development.
KCR, in his day-long review meeting on Saturday, had also discussed with the officials of various departments including Municipal & Urban Development, Panchayati Raj & Rural Development and Housing Board and IT Departments.
