3 ‘Brilliant’ Lecturers Arrested For Making Indecent Proposals To Girl Students 

Hyderabad: Three lecturers working at Brilliant Engineering College have been arrested on Monday for making indecent proposals to girl students.

The accused identified as Saidi Reddy in-charge of exam branch, Gopi Reddy HoD of CSE department and accountant Usman were sent to remand. The police registered the cases under Nirbhaya Act and section 354-D IPC.

Students staged protest demanding the arrest of the the faculty for harassing girl students on Monday. The victims told the the student leaders and SHE teams that the lecturers sent vulgar messages on Whatsapp using obscene language. Students said that the three lectures were harassing them for the past six months and used to call them privately to the staff rooms.
