15 Dead As Boat Capsizes In Yamuna

Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh): At least 15 people died on Thursday after a boat carrying 60 people capsized in swollen river Yamuna in Baghpat. According to reports, 12 people were rescued so far and have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Upon knowing the mishap, the rescue teams including NDRF rushed to the spot and rescue operations are underway. The boat sank due to the overload, according to sources. There were 27 passengers in the boat while its capacity was for 15.
