Hyderabad: Parents of Intermediate student Chandini Jain on Tuesday suspected that the killers might have planned a kidnap of her daughter for a ransom before committing the crime.

Speaking to media persons, the father of the victim said that he has no enemies and suspects no one in the crime. He demanded that the perpetrators should get stern punishment.

"She first attended Dandiya class on Saturday evening. Around 5.30 pm, she told me that she is going to meet her friend and left the house. After one hour, her cellphone was switched off. I was thinking that she would however return house even after it was dark," her mother said weeping inconsolably.

The 17-year-old Chandni was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Ameenpur Hills on Tuesday morning, seven kms away from her residence at Satyanarayana Enclave in Madinaguda, Miyapur. The locals alerted police after spotting the body in the bushes.

Meanwhile, the police suspect that the killers might have strangulated the victim to death. The report of the post-mortem says that Chandni suffered bruises on her neck and scratch marks on her hands. Hair samples including body parts were sent to forensic laboratory for tests.
