YSRCP Supports Municipal JAC state-wide Bandh
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his solidarity with the striking Municipal employees.The JAC of municipal employees met him on Sunday and explained to them about their demands for hike and standardization of minimum pay, outsourcing of workers and conversion of contract employees into permanent employees.
Speaking later, YS Jagan said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had promised to make contract workers permanent and to help the municipal workers get just wages. However, the government is now unresponsive to the plight of municipal employees. “They have been agitating for over ten days, but to no avail. The government, instead, had ordered a lathicharge against the striking employees,” he said.
Municipal workers JAC secretary Varikallu Ravikumar presented a memorandum to YS Jagan in presence of Gunturu town president Lella Appi Reddy, Trade Union State President Goutham Reddy, Janga Ranga Nayakulu, N.Sankar rao and Madhubabu
Municipal workers have been protesting for hike in their pay and to fix Rs 15,000 as minimum pay for cleaners and garbage-pickers.
