Kirlampudi (East Godavari): All sections of the society must unite and protest the anti-people policies of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) senior leader Buman Karunakar Reddy said here on Friday.

Addressing the media along with Kapu agitation leader Mudragada Padmanabham, he said all those duped by Chandrababu Naidu with his false promises of welfare and development must unite and revolt against the TDP administration. The YSRCP will unequivocally support all the DWACRA women, people from backclases and Dalits who want to register their protest through agitation against Chandrababu and his policies, he said.

On the occasion, Karunakar Reddy conveyed YSRCP's support to the Kapu agitation, led by Mudragada Padmanabham, which stated the inclusion of the Kapu community in the BC list as its top agenda.

Karunakar Reddy reminded that on January 19, 2016, too, he expressed solidarity with the Kapu agitation. "However, I was labelled anti-social and a rebellion by Chandrababu and he foisted false cases against me," Karunakar Reddy said. Showering praise on Padmanabham for his peaceful yet forceful protest against the state government for the welfare of Kapus, he said the Kapu leader is an inspiration for all and that inspired YSRCP to declare its solidarity with him.

"Chandrababu is known for false promises, back-stabbing and criminal politics. How can such a person allege that those protesting for the rights of Kapus is a criminal or anti-social," the YSRCP leader questioned those present at the media conference. Strongly condemning the false cases against him, Karunakar Reddy said that if false cases are foisted against him and is sent to jail through baseless allegations, he will not hesitate to become a camp follower of Mudragada and join his agitation for the rights of Kapus.
