YSRCP discuss strategies for local body polls

The Political Affairs Committee meeting of the YSR Congress Party ended at the party head office in Hyderabad on Monday.

After the meeting, party leader Somayajulu said that Jagan's sister Sharmila's Maro Praja Prasthanam padayatra will complete 2,000 kms on May 16 at Ravikampadu in Chintalapudi of West Godavari district. In view of the public meeting there, party MP, MLAs and several leaders would be present there to express their solidarity with Sharmila.

The extensive party meeting will be held at Lotus Pond on May 17. "Over 150 leaders including paty CGC and CAC members would be present during the meeting. We will discuss party strategy for the local body polls," he added.

The YSRCP leader also said that surveys have revealed that YSRCP would get majority ZPs. YS Vijayamma and several leaders will visit Pranahita-chevella project in the third week of May. They will also participate in the Rachchabanda programme and public meetings, he added.
