YSRCP Demands Extension of Graduate Voter Enrollment Deadline

YSRCP general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP V Vijaya Sai Reddy has asked chief election commisioner, Andhra Pradesh Bhanwar Lal to extend the last date for enrollment of voters to November 20.

In a missive to the CEC AP, he said not even 50 per cent of the eligible graduates can hope to get enrolled by the current deadline of November 5. He said the extention is ncessary as the election commission's server is very slow and the online traffic is heavy. He said at the current rate, only three or four enrollments could be made in an hour. Hence, he also requested the CEC to direct the officials to take to manual enrollment and work extra hours to enroll voters.
