YSRCP condemns Naidu’s remarks against YSR

Questioning the motives of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu in saying that the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy diluted the case of Maoist attack on him at Tirupati, YSR Congress party has said Naidu’s remarks have only indicated of his intentions to hatch yet another conspiracy against YSR family.

Speaking to reporters here today, party spokesman Gattu Ramachandra Rao strongly condemned the remarks of Naidu.  He said Naidu’s intentions in making the accusation 11 years after the Maoist attack against him at Alipiri near Tirupati only smacked of his ill intentions.

“The attack took place on you on Oct 1, 2003 and you remained CM till YSR took over in May. What action did you take on the case during the period? You remained silent during the regimes of Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy also. Saying several years later that YSR diluted the case and protected Gangi Reddy, the accused in the case, is atrocious,” Gattu remarked.

He further said that it was only YSR who visited Naidu first and attended peace rally at a time when his party leaders and cabinet ministers were busy discussing on his successor after the attack.

“Not even Naidu’s family members visited him immediately after the attack. Forgetting all this, you have made a baseless allegation against YSR and it is only indicative of your future conspiracy.” Gattu said YSR always respected the law and never failed to adhere to the law.
