Senior YSR Congress Party leader and Nandyal MP SPY Reddy on Sunday joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
SPY Reddy joined the TDP in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-in-waiting N. Chandrababu Naidu in Delhi. (TDP resorting to poaching: YSRCP)
While speaking to the media, the Nandyal MP said "I have joined TDP because BJP is a ruling at the Centre and TDP is the ruling party in Seemandhra. I did not have any problems in YSR Congress Party because YS Jagan is very close to me. I have no misunderstandings with YS Jagan. Only for the better interests of the people of my constituency, i have joined TDP."
Stating that he is not a hardcore politician, SPY Reddy maintained that he could serve justice to the people of Nandyal only if he is a member of ruling party.
