YSRCP bags Kadapa DCCB chairmanship

Much controversial election of DCCB chairman went off peacefully as the Congress party, which secured six out of 14 directors stayed away from the election.

 YSR Congress party, which got 8 directors, won the election and Iragam Tirupal Reddy was elected unanimously as chairman of DCCB.

It may be mentioned that the DCCB election had been held amidst high drama and postponed twice earlier. With the intervention of the High Court, the election was conducted. Election Official Chandrasekhar was allegedly kidnapped and was taken to Madanapalli by his abductors.  Later, the District Collector announced to hold the election with another election official. In the meantime, the HC asked to hold election immediately.
