Guntur: YSR Congress party honorary president YS Vijayamma on Sunday said that her husband and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy had secured an important place in the hearts of people in the state even after his tragic death in helicopter crash eight years ago.
She was addressing a huge gathering of people and YSRCP party cadre during the second day of 3rd National Plenary meeting which is being held near ANU campus at Mangalagiri, Amaravati.
"By seeing this massive crowd, I can say people have not forgotten the YSR's iconic padayatra, YSR's welfare schemes, YSR's love," she said.
YSR's death had left a deep void in the lives of people, she said. Even after serving incessantly to the Congress party for 35 years, the party ignored the great leader, she maintained.
