'YSR is still alive in the hearts of people'

Chittoor, "Does any political leader have the guts to stand by the poor?" asked YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday during his Samaikya Sankharavam in Palasamudram.

Remembering his father former CM YS Rajashekhara Reddy, Jagan said that everyone in the state felt that YSR's era was the golden period of Andhra politics.

"People know that YSR is alive in the common man's heartbeat. He did Paada Yatra in unforgiving heat for the well being of poor people. He is only leader who knows the suffering of a poor man,"  Jagan added.

He is the only leader who genuinely wanted to give a better life to the poor people of the state, Jagan said.  He introduced welfare schemes for everyone.

"We will show the strength of Telugu people in coming general election. This time, it will be a fight between Delhi arrogance and the Telugu self respect and we should teach the treacherous leaders of Congress and TDP a lesson by winning 30 MPs seats in the elections. Then we shall see who will divide the State,” he said.
