YS Jagan Condoles Balantrapu Rajanikanta Rao Death

AP Leader of Opposition and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed profound grief on the death of renowned writer Balantrapu Rajanikanta Rao and a legend of All India Radio.

YS Jagan said that Rajanikanta Rao's service to Telugu literature will be remembered forever. He was a pioneer who took literature, arts and folk music to the people through radio journalism, he said.

YS Jagan also said that Rajanikanta Rao's demise created an irreplaceable void in Telugu literature. He prayed to God to grant peace to the soul of the deceased, and offered his sincere condolences to members of the bereaved family.

Rao passed away on Sunday morning due to a prolonged illness. He was born on January 29, 1920 in Nidadavolu of West Godavari district. He had worked in All India Radio and Doordarshan.
