YS Jagan’s Assurance To Akshaya Gold Victims

Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Kurnool: Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday assured the victims of Akshaya Gold scam that their grievances will be redressed by the YSR Congress Party.

During an interaction with the victims at Narasapuram Crossroad in Pattikonda constituency, he called on them to be patient for a year and as soon as the YSRCP government takes office their grievances will be addressed. "The state government has failed to implement a court order which directed it to sell the assets of Akshaya Gold and repay the victims. The company owes a total of Rs 600 crore and more than 100 agents have committed suicide. Yet the state government did not wake up from its slumber and act on the court directions," YS Jagan said.

The issue was raised repeatedly in the state Assembly by the YSRCP but the Chandrababu Naidu government failed to take action on the management of the company, he said.
