YS Jagan takes up cudgels on behalf of Capital area farmers
* To explore all options; to approach courts, HRCs
* To wage a relentless battle for the rights of ryots
* Will restore the lands to farmers when I become CM: YS Jagan
* Why is the government becoming a realtor?
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured to fight for the rights of the farmers who are refusing to part with their lands for the formation of the AP Capital. He said the party would explore all options before it and fight on behalf of the farmers.
He addressed several farmers from the villages in the proposed capital area, who met him on Monday morning at the party office, to pour out their woes.
* Undavalli, Penumaka, Navuluru, Kolagallu, Nidamarru farmers' plight is pitiable.
* On one hand, the government in the CRDA bill says the land pooling would be voluntary, but on the other hand, it is harassing the farmers who are refusing to give their lands.
* The farmers are being harassed, picked up at will and some are being physically abused.
* The YSRCP will wage a relentless battle to protect the right of the farmers.
* the government has given a go by to governance. It has become a realtor. Let the farmers become realtors. Why is the government turning into a realtor.
* If the government wants to become a realtor, it can go elsewhere. Why trouble the farmers, who own fertile lands. It can very well go to Vinukonda where there is ample forest lands.
* I am assuring the farmers that land pooling would be done only if the farmers are agreeable to it. We will restore the lands back to the farmers, when we come to power.
* We will approach the courts and the Human Rights Commissions and fight a legal battle against the TDP government's attempt to take away the lands.
* Be rest assured that your brother will become the next chief minister in AP after this term.
*No force on earth can take away your lands if you are not willing to part with them
* We will meet the governor on Monday evening and apprise him of the reign of terror unleashed in the capital area.
