Two women leaders are likely to be inducted into Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao's cabinet.

KCR was sworn in on June 2 along with 11 ministers. Once his cabinet choices were made public, KCR came in for some criticism for  inducting three family members, and excluding women members.  Also, critics pointed out that his cabinet has given priority to upper caste leaders.  KCR's ministry has four Reddys, three members of other backward classes or the OBCs, a Muslim and a Dalit.

After he completes his visit to Gajwel, his first after becoming CM, reliable sources in the TRS state that KCR is expected to discuss about his first cabinet expansion at his farmhouse in the evening and six leaders are likely to get cabinet posts.

Insiders say that he is likely to give chance to two women. Initially reports indicated that Konda Surekha was expected to be inducted into the State cabinet. But KCR ignored her, and chose Station Ghanpur MLA T Rajaiah from the district.

KCR reportedly asked Koppula Eswar to take Assembly speaker post under SC quota. But he has not shown interest in the post.  KCR has finally zeroed in on his loyalist and Bhoopalpalli MLA S Madhusudhana Chary for speaker post. Koppula Eswar and Jupally Krishna Rao would get the cabinet posts in the first phase of expansion. However, among two former TJAC members, Srinivas Goud and Swamy Goud, only one will get a seat, sources added
