A 25-year old woman  who was allegedly set ablaze by her husband for not being 'beautiful', died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday afternoon. 

The victim, identified as Sirisha, suffered 80 percent burn injuries when her husband Anupam Kumar reportedly poured kerosene over her and set her ablaze saying she was not beautiful at Mogalarajpuram in Vijayawada on Tuesday.  

Reportedly, once she was set on fire, Sirisha rushed towards her husband and held him tight. On hearing their screams, neighbours rushed in and tried dousing the flames. They were soon rushed to a near by hospital. They were married for nearly two and half years, and have a five-month-old baby.  

Sirisha suffered 80 percent burn injuries while her husband received less injuries.
