Women Stage Pitched Battle For 3 Square Yards Of Land 

Visakhapatnam: Three women staged a pitched battle while thrashing eachother over the rights to 3 square yards of land, in Lakshmipuram Colony in Duvvada on Tuesday.

There was an ongoing dispute regarding that piece of land between three women - Padma, Sathyavathi and Santhoshi. On Tuesday, Padma and Sathyavathi attacked Sathoshi and the three got down to a fist-fight, pulled eachothers hair and hurled abuses. On being informed about the fight, Santhoshi's husband Siva, an auto driver, rushed to the scene and tried to save his wife. But soon, he too was dragged into the fight. He beat-up the two attackers and lodged a complaint with the Duvvada police. He stated in his report that Padma and Sathyavathi attacked his wife while ignoring the fact that she was three months pregnant. Police have launched an investigation and collected CCTV footage from the area.
