Guntur: In a false case of kidnap, a woman raised an alarm saying she was kidnapped in Tadepalli bypass road on Thursday and later requested the police to release him as he is her lover.

The woman hailing from Bobbili has been working as a dancer in Hyderabad. Recently after a rift with her employer, she started living with her relatives. On Thursday, she was seen creating a scene on the bypass road in Bobbili saying she was being kidnapped by the man on a bike. On noticing this, Circle Inspector (CI) of one town police station in Vijayawada travelling from Guntur had taken both of them into custody and handed them over to Tadepalli police.

The woman stated that she didn't know who the man was and the man said that they were both married. Unable to figure out what was true, police arrested the man and called up the woman's father who stayed in Bobbili. However, in the evening the woman stated that they were both in love and married. She added that fights between them were pestering her and she was angry, following which she said she didn't know the man. She requested the police to release him, but police said he would be released only when the parents come to the police station.
