Woman found murdered, rape suspected
An unidentified woman was on Wednesday found murdered on a roadside in Nalgonda district of the state, with the police suspecting she was raped before being killed.
The woman's body was found on the outskirts of Balemla village of the district, police said. Liquor bottles were found close to her body and it is suspected that unknown persons might have smothered her to death after raping her, an investigating officer said. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
As of now a case of murder has been registered and based on the medical report, if it is confirmed that she has been raped then relevant sections of IPC will be added, the officer said.
