Will Tiger Zinda Hai Collections Take A Hit After Padmaavat Release?
Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai is a blockbuster hit of 2017. The film has maintained its strong hold over the domestic box office despite release of other movies over the last few weeks.
But now, trade pundits see a possible threat to its supreme status. It's a known fact that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavaat is slated for release on January 25 Thursday. Even though the Supreme Court has given its nod for its release, Rajput women and the Karni Sena are protesting over its content.
The Censor Board too has given a U/A certificate with five changes to the movie including removing 'i' from the title. Padmavati is now titled Padmaavat.Two Rajput groups Karni Sena and Mahakaal Sena have been protesting against the film's release saying it hurts their sentiment. The government has offered full police security to the film. Owners of theatres too have requested the government to provide more security.

This is first big-budget film to be releasing this year. Will it become a massive hit like Salman's TZH? Bhai's recent outing TZH entered the 50 Cr Club, Rs 100 Cr Club and Rs 200 Cr Club in a matter of a week. Can Padmaavat break any of the records set by TZH?
Padmaavat will be a solo release after Akshay Kumar agreed to push his Padman release date from January to February 9 to avoid a box office clash. Now, it remains to be seen if the film will become the highest grossing film of 2018. We will soon know. But you guys don't forget to watch this space for review and collections.
