Will KCR's film city rival Ramoji film city?

What is KCR's game plan when he says he would allocate 2000 acres to set up a film city in Hyderabad?

Those in the know of the things say that this has two aims. One is to prevent the flight of film industry from Hyderabad. The second aim, according to sources is to build a film city that can rival the Ramoji Film City.

As per the new proposal taken at a high-level industrial review meeting held at the Secretariat, KCR said the new film city is proposed to be on the lines of Hollywood industry. However, the source of investment, ownership of the film city and the time-frame related issues are yet to be thrashed out. The availability of land too is an important issue. 

If the proposed film city is truly of international standards, it would emerge as a rival to the Ramoji film city, sources say.
