Sachin makes curious enquiries about AP capital !

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was in Vijayawada on Friday to inaugurate PVP Mall.

Recalling his association with the city, he said he was in Vijayawada to play a cricket match two decades ago.

Sachin made enquiries about the city, beautification measures, setting up of new capital and other information.

Of late, there have been rumours that Sachin had bought large chunks of lands at Mangalagiri in Guntur district. It was also rumoured that he went ahead with the land deal in the hope that this would become the capital of the state.

But, Sachin's friends quashed the rumours. They said this was a clever strategem employed by the realtors to jack up the land prices. However, Sachin did not comment on the issue.

It may be recalled that Sachin had bought lands in Nellore district some time ago.
