Village renamed after Sammakka-Saralamma

The State Government released a gazette notification changing the name of Tadvai mandal, a remote tribal hamlet in Warangal district.
Tadvai is known for its temple of two Goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma. The mandal was re-christened as Sammakka-Saralamma Tadvai. Medaram jathara is a famous rural festival in the State as lakhs of devotees throng the temple to perform pooja to the dieties Sammakka and Saralamma.
