Venkaiah Expresses Unhappiness Over Central Govt
New Delhi: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu expressed his unhappiness over the central government for not initiating the process to let the Parliament function smoothly. He mentioned over the last 15 days the situation in the Parliament was same, "session starts and adjourns".
The Rajya Sabha Chairman pointed out that he had done whatever he could to bring order in the house but nothing was working out. He said, "This is Upper House, we will have to answer the questions that arise from the public. Earlier when such a situation came up, the ruling party would interfere and discuss with the opposition parties to enable the smooth functioning of the House. But that seems to be not happening now."
Venkaiah Naidu hoped that the Parliamentary affairs minister would discuss with the opposition parties and enables the smooth functioning by Monday. He pointed out that there were important issues that need to be debated in the House.
