Two teenage boys were killed and four others injured when an auto-rickshaw collided with a bus today in Karapa Mandal of East Godavari district, police said.

The mishap occurred when an auto-rickshaw, carrying six district-level volleyball players who were going to their village Arthamuru in Mandapeta Mandal, was knocked down by a state road transport bus, police said.

All the six, around 14 years of age, were injured in the accident and were rushed to the Kakinada Hospital where two of them succumbed, police said. They were returning after attending a selection organised by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh in Kakinanda.

The deceased were identified as P Durga Bhavan and Sandeepa Reddy, police said.
