TSCOP Wins National Award As Best IT Project
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Police's prestigious and most famed mobile application called TSCOP has been awarded as the Best IT Project for 2017 trophy by the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB). An announcement to this effect was done today. The trophy would be presented in Chennai on February 28 during the All India Police Duty Meet conclusion.
The trophy was given as part of NCRB's programme of Empowering Police with Information Technology. NCRB has been encouraging development of in-house IT applications by different state police and a running trophy was introduced to the winners of this competition. The computer awareness competition was conducted by NCRB as part of the All India Police Duty Meet.
It is learnt that seven states and union territories participated in the competition for the trophy and Telanagana police have bagged it this year. TSCOP allows real-time policing. This app proved to be the best among other IT applications from different states. Other participants were AP's Report Based on Crime Patterns; Chandigarh's CCTNS mobile app; Gujarat's eGujCop; mobile applications from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand.
