TS NRIs vow to work for Telangana development
Alpharetta (GA), USA: Telangana NRIs of metropolitan Atlanta rallied in big numbers to give the fledgling Telangana Development Forum, Atlanta Chapter, the push it needed in the run-up to the TDF USA Board Meeting in Washington D.C over the coming weekend and the National Convention at the same venue in the summer of 2015.
The attendance, of 70 people came from a mix of local organizations like TCI, TAMA, GATA, ATA, NATA, TANA and NRIVA. Speaking on the occasion, Bharath Naravetla impressed upon the importance of TDF as an organization in shaping the destiny of Telangana back home.
According to a statement by TDP-USA media chair Santosh Reddy Kakulavaram, a TDF Atlanta Advisory Panel comprising Narender Reddy Ganta, T. Ramchander Reddy, Mohan Reddy KomatiReddy, Laxma Reddy Paripati, Rathnaker Elugunti, Sathyanarayan Reddy Thangirala, Dr. Sreenivas Gangasani, Srijan Joginpally, Kiran Pasham, Vivek Reddy Edula, Upender Kadire and Goutam Goli, was formed.. Srinivas Durgam and Janardhan Pannela enthralled the gathering with Telangana folk songs while Viju Chiluveru conducted the proceedings.
Earlier, the meeting paid homage to G Surender Reddy, who was the founder of Telangana Community Inc, serving the fluorosis affected villages in Telangana. They also observed a brief silence as a mark of respect to hundreds of Telangana youth who laid down their lives for Telangana state.
